    JOB POSTING- Join OUR Team! We have HUGE shoes to fill here in the Gilmer Memorial Library for the coming year as we continue to serve both RISD and our community. We want to ensure to reach each person that would be interested in applying for the position of Library Aide.     Position Description
    Rocksprings Independent School District is seeking a compassionate and committed paraprofessional  to provide direct support to students in their academic, behavioral, and social development. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping students succeed and is ready to play a hands-on role to engage and assist our learners on their educational journey.

    What to Expect in this Role:

    • Work directly with students to reinforce learning and build confidence.

    • Help students stay engaged, focused, and on track throughout the school day.

    • Provide academic support through one-on-one and small group settings.

    • Assist students with special needs in accessing their education and daily routines.

    • Encourage positive behavior and support students in developing social-emotional skills.

    • Keep track of how students are doing and provide feedback to instructional team.

    • Create a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners.

    Education/Certification:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Educational Aide Certificate (Must be obtained upon employment with district.)

    Special Skills, & Experience:

    • Experience working with children or youth in educational or caregiving settings is preferred.

    • Possess patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success.

    • Ability to work with other staff while maintaining a student-centered focus.

    Position Description

    Rocksprings Independent School District is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable elementary secretary to serve as the face of our elementary campus. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with students, staff, and families while keeping the front office running smoothly and efficiently.

    What to Expect in This Role:

    • Greet students, staff, families, and visitors in a warm and professional manner

    • Answer phones, emails, and other school communications

    • Manage daily attendance records and student check-ins/check-outs

    • Provide administrative support to campus leadership and staff

    • Maintain student files, records, and confidential information

    • Help coordinate campus communication, announcements, and scheduling

    • Assist with supply orders and general office tasks

    • Be a dependable, helpful presence in the heart of the school

    Education/Certification:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office technology


    Special Skills & Experience:

    • Strong communication and customer service skills

    • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a busy school environment

    • Experience in a school or office setting preferred

    • Familiarity with learning and using web-based tools for management tasks (e.g., attendance systems, parent communication apps)

    • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and team-oriented mindset

    • Bilingual skills a plus, but not required
