The Claud H. Gilmer Memorial Library Board serves as Rocksprings ISD’s School Library Advisory Council (SLAC). Among other responsibilities, the council serves to review proposed additions, considers formal material challenges, and recommends library policies and actions to the RISD Board of Trustees. Its work helps ensure materials are appropriate for students’ grade levels, reflect local community values, and meet Texas library standards.
