GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:


Students and parents are urged to work closely with the counselor throughout high school to ensure that requirements are met for graduation. Students are required to complete the graduation requirements in effect upon entry in the freshman year.

# In addition to selecting the designated electives, the Distinguished Achievement Program requires completion of four advanced measures in any combination.

 

*A student must qualify for the Minimum Plan. A conference with the principal, counselor and parent must take place where supporting documentation is presented (all participants must be in agreement).

All students must take Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II. Students who took Algebra I in Jr. High must take three (3) more math credits in high school. The New Recommended and Distinguished Achievement Plans require a fourth (4) math credit selected from Math Models (will only satisfy a math requirement on the New Recommended Plan and can not be taken after Algebra II), Pre-calculus, Dual Credit or AP Calculus.

**For graduation, all students must take Biology and then must choose the remaining two credits from the following courses: IPC (will NOT fulfill a science requirement on the Distinguished Achievement Plan (New), Chemistry, and Physics.

The New Recommended and Distinguished Achievement Plans require a fourth (4th) science credit selected from the following courses: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy & Physiology,

***P.E. Equivalencies may fulfill this requirement, i.e. Marching Band (fall semester).

+Communication Applications is the only course that will fulfill the speech requirement for graduation.

++The required foreign language credits must be in the same language.
